Here I am wearing the corduroy skirt from the last post. Stupidly enough it's a size too big, because I thought it had an elastic waistband, so a size bigger wouldn't matter. I should have looked better. That's what you get with internet sale shopping. You just get to eager. So my solution for the weekend was to move the button, but for a long time solution I need to make the skirt about 3 inches smaller in the waist, if it isn't more. I'm just bummed out the skirt makes me look bigger than I actually am right now.
Anyhow, I combined it with a lace top that I got in sale last year in Harrods, my red satchel and some Zara wedges also from last year. That I've added these shoes to this outfit was an unexpected twist for me, because it didn't felt like my outfit was 'balanced'. Don't actually know why I went for it anyway, but even though it didn't felt balanced, it did felt right.

Thanks to my boyfriend for making these shots. He pretty much has the best place to take outfit shots without going somewhere for a nice background.

So this is what I was wearing last Monday. I was in the centre of my city, Amersfoort, and I already expressed my love for it so many times on my blog that I'm not going to do it again! Even though I just love it so much! It's even better than Amsterdam if you ask me.
Anyhow, got this darling coat, dress and cardigan when I was in London. I have a hard time not wearing these items constantly. They're so comfortable, yet cute. I was craving for this dress since September and I was so happy that I got it at last. Even in sale, which made it better! I'm very pleased I can wear things like this in this time of the year. It really isn't cold when there isn't a lot of wind. It's just chilly, that's all. I hope it will stay like this for the rest of the winter!

Kiss my gentle burning bruise, I'm lost in time

Life has been a bit boring lately. Because of all the rain you couldn't really do something. Good thing there were some dry moments and I had the opportunity to make some photo's. But also I don't really know what to do. At the moment I don't have work and no school, so I don't have obligations to keep me busy. Though I should start at my new work somewhere this month!

Anyhow, now about my outfit. I wore this dress on Christmas eve when we were celebrating Christmas at my boyfriends parents home with his family. I didn't wore the dress like this, because I was being lazy and wore it with some black flat suede boots and no accessories. Ever since I got this dress, I planned to wear it like this, but never got around to do it. I did now, obviously.
I think this is one of the best dresses ever from Dahlia. All their dresses are wonderful, but this one got me head over heels. I think the whole a/w collection is one of Dahlia's best!

First outfit of 2012! I really think it's awful to make outfit shots during the winter months. It's way too cold! I'm out of my mind that I do this. Anyhow, what do you think of this dress that I got from Dahlia? In 2010 I got it in blue, so also having this dress in burgundy is pretty much awesome. It was my favourite piece for a very long time! I'm such a sucker of flow-y fabrics and everything that emphasize my waist. I'm wearing this dress with my new Topshop hat! Finally a change of hats! And with a rather old pair of anklebooties. I don't wear them often, because they don't really suit me anymore. That's what you get after 2 years I think.

As I think that this will be my last post in 2011 I already wanted to wish everyone a happy new year! Let 2012 be a year with a lot of happiness, friendship and love! I'm planning to be more social next year and I really need to watch my money since I spend too much. Let's hope I can stick to it! I hope everyone had a wonderful 2011 and 2012 needs to get better!

As first, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I thought I needed to mention it, because I didn't made a Christmas post. Mainly because I'm not in such a Christmas mood as normal. Can't really figure out why. Perhaps because so many things are different this year.
Anyhow, this isn't a Christmas outfit, but something I wore before I went to London. I'm loving this dress. This dark blue colour really suits my skin tone and hair and it has tiny little black dots over it. It's a shame that you barely can see it. I combined it with an old jeans jacket, as in 9 years old. I was about 11 when I got it and I still fit it perfectly. It wasn't even that oversized when I was 11. And with my red Jeffrey Campbell's to toughen it up a bit more. It felted to plain with just a cardigan and some anklebooties.
Sorry for adding the hat again. These days my outfits just don't feel complete without my hat. Good thing I got a new one when I was London!

I absolutely got blown away when I took these photo's. I couldn't get my hands off my hat or it was blown away before I knew it! Plus it was so incredibly cold, whatever I do just to please you all! Ok, I also like having nice photo's instead of selftimer shots in my bedroom.
Anyhow, I absolutely love the combination of this blouse and skirt together. The skirt has something decent and with this blouse it becomes something quirky. I think I wore this 2 days on a row. Ok, 3 when you count the day when it arrived.

I think I should look for my bed now, because I'll have a driving lesson tomorrow morning and I'm going to start on a dress! I've already made the patterns and now I'll just have to cut the fabric and start sewing. I hope I'll have it done on Thursday, so I can show you Friday!

Oh goodness

I'm sorry that I rarely have been posting the past week. Everything have been busy at my work and when I go home it's already dark. So every time I can't make outfit shots, which bummed me out. I was getting back into blogging and now this is keeping me away from it. It kinda makes me sad, because I was really starting to like it again.
So here are 2 things that keep me busy.

600 meters of red fabric that we're sewing for the grand opening for the hotel where I'm working for.
Believe me when I say that it isn't possible to sew this alone.

And I'm trying to find ways to store my stuff. It really seems impossible if you know how much junk I have. Ok, very lovely and beautiful junk.

Yet a-freaking-gain I dislike my photo's and this time also my face. It's just so hard to take photo's before the sun goes down with these short days. I really did my best to make something out of it, but I didn't succeed. The only thing I can do about it is to make sure the next post has better photo's. Oh well, at the end it's all about the outfit right? I really like my outfit, but the photo's just don't do it justice, argh! And seriously, what's up with my face? Am I trying to act like a fish? Reminds me of a song from Glee. Trouty mouth it was I believe... Goodness, so many frustrations.

Drink a toast to the sun, to the things that never go...

So here's the whole dress! It's yet another midi dress, I just can't help it. These lengths have something quirky I like. Yet again I'm wearing my favourite items here. I can never play favourite with a single item for long. Except for bags... My Mulberry Alexa satchel is my favourite bag since February. Anyway, I wore this outfit last Thursday and Friday with a few changes with accessories. I also just had to have to wear my cat necklace with the cat print dress, meow!

I've had a lovely weekend. Baked an applepie with my mom on Friday, made a walk through the forest and enjoyed the weather on Saturday and today I cleaned my room and played Sims 3. Relaxed weekends like these are always so nice.

A few posts ago I've said that I preferred longer lengths, but shorter lengths aren't a problem either. Take this little number for example. I always loved red, but after dying my hair red, I kind of started to avoid this colour. I thought it was clashing with my hair. Since last month I came back from that thought and started wearing red again. Burgundy in this case! I adore this dress and I think you already can see why. Everything is just right about it.

I really got to say my mom is getting better and better in taking my photo's. I really love these. I'm also pretty pleased that I'm getting better at editing them than only clicking on the 'automatic colour correction' button. Now I just need to work on my layers skills.

Didn't really had the time to make decent photo's, because it's so dark early these days, so garden photo's it is! My apologies that they're not so good as normal.
I have this dress already for 2 years now, but I never get bored of it! The plaid print is perfect for autumn and the bow at the front is so cute! I've always liked bows, even though my love for them has cooled down the past year. I always used to wear a black bow in my hair, it was kind of my trade mark, but hey, style changes.

Now something else. I'm going to London in December! I just can't wait! I love that city so much. The last time I've been there I went with my mom and now I'm going with my dad. Going to London means one thing. Dahlia, Dahlia, Dahlia! Ok and ofcourse more, but I'm really looking forward to going to Dahlia again.

Oh, how I wish I've worn these heels with a midi skirt. My black with white little dots midi skirt, though the combination I made up didn't really worked. It came out old-looking. Now I'm looking at this outfit, I wish I had ditched the hat and perhaps worn an other colour jeans. Never ever going to wear this look again.

Anyhow, I've had a lovely weekend. Went to an illegal party last Friday and went to bed pretty late and woke up around 2 PM. Stayed in bed till late in the afternoon and went out for diner that evening. After diner we went to the Museum night (as in the museums were open from 10 PM till 2 AM), which was nice. And that all with my boyfriend. I'm always a bit sad when lovely weekends like these come to an end and the work week starts again.

The ones who read my blog for a while now, knows I'm someone who can't pass up a good shoe. In this case an amazingly good shoe. The brown leather is almost wood-like and so wonderful detailed. It looks so delicate. That the heel is green is a nice touch, something unexpected and gives it a playful feeling. Perhaps the best thing of the entire shoe. I'm also very pleased that the hardware is gold, something that fits with everything in my wardrobe.

I'm wearing all of my favourite items here. My favourite jacket, scarf, dress, bag, necklace and booties. The tights not so much, but I kind of re-found them somewhere in a drawer and thought it was a nice add. Plus I do think that they're genius. I'm a huge London lover and these tights with the Big Ben on it kind of shows my love for that city. It's also pretty funny that when I'm in London, tourists, mostly Dutch people, think that I'm British or Irish and talk about my hair colour and skin tone out loud. When I'm standing right next to them! That's something typically Dutch. Always nice to see their shocked faces when I start talking Dutch to them and say that my hair colour isn't real.

This is kind of an old outfit. Made these pictures in the beginning of October, but never got around to post it. It's so weird looking at these pictures where I'm summerly dressed, while it's now pretty cold. Anyhow, this sure isn't one my favourite outfits and somehow because of these pictures I like it even less. I think it's because of the belt. It looks like too much around the waist in combination with my knotted top. Though I do love my floral skirt, bright red bag and amazing wedges! The wedges are pretty darn high, yet pretty comfortable.

So I think it's getting kind of obvious that I like longer lengths. For me it's the perfect way to cover up my legs, since I'm not too much a fan of them, and still be bare legged. I also really like how you can down dress this dress without looking too casual. You don't even need too much accessories with it! Perfect for me, because mostly I only wear necklaces. This time I didn't even wore accessories, since I didn't thought it was necessary. Ok, except for the belt, but that came with the dress! Here is my last Dahlia post, I would really mean a lot to me if you'd leave a comment!

My boyfriend made these photo's and I'm so pleased with it! Also how he has edit them. It was really awkward (for me actually) to make these photo's, since it was the first time he did this for me. I always feel so stupid when I'm making blog photo's, especially when people are walking/driving by and when someone makes them for the first time, I feel extra stupid! But at the end, when I'm having nice photo's, I'm really happy. So it's all worth it. I think I'm going to ask him to do this again.

Here are the new items I've gotten recently including birthday presents (meaning shoes!). I was actually planning to post this sooner, but hey, sometimes you just can't! Now I need to do something for my blog, that I can hopefully show you this Friday. The weather just needs to cooperate with me, which till now doesn't!

I'm so happy with the Jeffrey Campbell Lita's! Finally I managed to get my hands on them after 2 years of searching. I actually wanted them in black, but it never seems meant to be. Anyhow, I don't mind that they're not black, because I still adore them!

I got this 'Wreck this Journal' from my boyfriend for my birthday with the intention to make me less of a perfectionist. I can't sketch when I'm drawing, it has to be detailed right away.

So in this post I wrote that I changed my outfit because it was too hot for what I was wearing earlier. This is what I changed into. Got these pants that same day and they're so comfortable! When I saw them hanging I thought it was going to cost a fortune, but it didn't. I was such a happy gal. They look great paired with a jeans jacket and some black booties, but also with my neon green sandals! Another item that I wore for the last time this year... I'm so bummed that they have to stay in the closet until next year. It's raining so badly while I'm writing this. And I shouldn't forget that there's also some pretty bad thunder. Oh summer, why did you have to leave us?!

I love that this place is only a 10 minute cycling trip away. I live in pretty modern neighbourhood and after only 10 minutes it looks like you're in a different world. The maize fields, the road and the little bridge is from during World War 2. It's such a serene and charming place.

Now about this magenta maxi dress. I got it last March, but I just got a few wears out of it, because of the lame weather we've had the past summer. So when we got warmer weather this week, I thought it was a pretty good idea to get a last wear out of this dress for this year!
When I looked back at these photo's, I felt a bit seventies! Like I could walk right into That 70's Show with my floppy hat and platforms, haha.

Birthday outfit // 20 already

So last Thursday was my 20th birthday. I went to Utrecht with my mom, where we did a little bit of shopping. When we went to the Laura Ashley store, we saw that they were having a rebuilding sale, so we took a peek. We found the most adorable cover for my blanket and 2 pillows. One of them has a bird print on it, it's very sweet. Perhaps I'll show it once.
In the evening my family came over, which meant a lot to me. And yesterday evening I've had a little 'get together' with 2 friends, which was very nice.

This is what I was wearing when I went to Utrecht. I got blown away when we were taking these pictures. I changed my clothes when I got home, because it was incredibly warm. About 25 degrees! It's October, the leaves are already falling of the trees, while it feels like a heatwave. That feels so odd.

So this time the pictures aren't so 'pretty' as the past 2 previous times. Damn you clouds, argh! Plus my neighbourhood isn't that nice looking.
Right now I'm craving for autumn. The coloured leaves, the rain, layers, that it's nice to drink warm coco again. Autumn is so cosy, you'll have to turn on the lights more early and it makes me want to snuggle away in my bed to watch films like 'Pride & Prejudice' and 'Gone with the wind'. My all time favourites.

I got this lace top last June when I was in London with my mom. I adore it, I absolutely adore it. I've already worn it so many times that I'm surprised that I'm not already sick of it. I assume that will never going to happen. I really like it with this outfit. The boyfriend jeans gives it a more casual feeling, the accessories makes it more vintage and the heels makes it more feminine. By the way, I rarely wear these heels and I really don't wonder why. My heel keeps slipping out! Though they are one of my favourite heels. Just so pretty.

I've fallen in love with the music of Agnes Obel. When listening to this song, I just want to lie in the grass with my feet in a babbling brook with the sun on my skin... Surrounded by peace and chirping birds. No single soul will be walking by. It almost sounds too idealistic. I'm just a dreamer.

This skirt has probably been my favourite skirt the past summer. Especially in combination with my denim shirt. The shirt makes it less romantic. It's a shame I have to wear it with tights now, otherwise it would be a tad too cold for my liking. Just a few more weeks and than I can wear the skirt with a good oversized pink cardigan hopefully!

I've had an unexpected day off today, so that meant off to the woods with my camera, mom and dog and make some new outfit shots again! I'm getting the blogging spirit back. I think. I was so annoyed with everything that had to do with fashion the past half year, that I thought of quitting everything that meant fashion. Lately the 'fashion feeling' is getting back and I'm also feeling more 'myself'. Positive development if I say so.

Last week I started working in a hotel called The Exchange in Amsterdam. It's a fashion hotel and I'm a volunteer there. About 12 to 15 rooms has a fashion related theme and I'm helping making things for those rooms! The opening will be in November and I'm so curious how everything will turn out! Photo's and more information will come!

The day before yesterday we've had an earthquake here in the Netherlands. It was really weird, because I was shaking on my desk chair and I didn't know what happened to me. When I went downstairs to ask my mom if she had felt it too, she said she didn't. I thought I was going crazy. Though apparently I wasn't when I checked my Facebook!

Now about my outfit. I'm not too sure if I like it or not. I like the skirt and booties together, but furthermore...? Not really convinced yet. My mom said she absolutely 'loved' it and I think she has good taste, so it has to be right. Oh well, perhaps I'll find something next time that feels 'right'.

I just love The View ever since I saw them live at Lowlands 4 years ago. This year I saw them again and I just couldn't stand still. I danced till my feet almost fell off! I couldn't feel my middle toe for at least a week after Lowlands. Now my toe hurts when I get up in the morning! Perhaps I should see a doctor for that after already 2 weeks... It's an idea...

I absolutely love this mesh maxi dress. The fact that you see your legs through the skirt, makes the dress less heavy. In some way I wore this dress so many times indoors, but never wore it outside of the house. This was the first time I wore it outside of the house in the Netherlands.
And what about my awesome neon green sandals?! Damn, I can't get over how ridiculous and amazing they are! Got a lot of wear out of them when I was in Curacao a month ago.

I've had such a good time at Lowlands (Dutch music festival)! Most definitely the best weekend of my entire summer vacation. There was way too much beer, great people and even more awesome performances. But I really got to mention, dancing with beer, not such a good idea... At one point I decided to dance by myself, outside of a tent, just to avoid a beer-y mess.
I've also seen so many bands, I can't even name them all without looking at my Lowlands program! My favourites were Skunk Anansie, Crystal Fighters, The View and Flogging Molly. I can't decide which one I liked best. Though the energy at Flogging Molly was amazing! Actually, the energy was amazing everywhere! Oh, I want to go back so badly now... A post with photo's is coming!

I just got this Mollie dress by Dahlia and I love it how it's perfect for every season. The black collar and details makes it great for autumn/winter, but the floral print will still remind you of summer and keeps you happy! This dress is my ultimate autumn dress.

I'm so jetlagged it isn't normal anymore. I went to a party Saturday, had a great time and barely slept afterwards. So I thought I would be tired yesterday evening. Oh, I really wasn't. Around 4 AM I was still jumping around. Mostly because I can't wait till Lowlands! That will be the best weekend of my whole summer vacation. Only 3 days left!!

What do you think of this Dahlia blouse? When it comes to tops I always like it when they’re flowy, a bit sheer with a nice pattern. In the last few months I’ve been wearing more and more jeans and I find it hard to find nice tops, since I’ve always been a dress kind of gal as most of you know! I adore the lightning print and the dots on the collar make the whole blouse quirkier and I can’t forget the lovely bow detail on the buttons! This blouse is surely the epitome of loveliness! So I'm finally returned from my holiday in Curacao. It was a lovely holiday with incredible warm weather! 35 degrees Celsius almost every day. I was on a mission to get really tanned, but I failed miserably (looks like I've got in a fight with a self tanner). I got such a bad sun burn, that I avoided the sun for at least 5 days. I couldn't even wear a bra the first week! Though constantly wearing a bikini because of that wasn't a punishment. I enjoyed eating bananas in my banana bikini. I also enjoy saying that. Sadly enough I don't have a photo of that. But ok, enough writing, here are a few photo's.

When this post goes online, I'll be in London. So I hope this is going to work.

The past weekend has been sort of crazy. Last week thursday I went to Vive La Fête with a friend, though we missed about 3/4 of the show, it was still awesome. Afterwards we stayed, because of the nice music and we danced till about 2:30 AM. Sadly we had to go around that time, because my friend had to work the next day. I was also pretty tired the next day. I slept for about an hour and I had driving lessons. It didn't really went as planned...
Last Saturday I went to Torenpop with the same friend. It's sort of a mini Lowlands here in Amersfoort. We saw Go Back to the Zoo and Nobody Beats the Drums and they both were so damn awesome. I danced like crazy and afterwards we went out, where we continued the dancing.
Next week Friday I'll be going to Nobody Beats the Drums again and I'm really looking forward to it. Here's an example of what kind of music they make.

It's remarkable how much you can do when you get up early. At 10 AM I had a job interview at the gym. It's just a summer job, because after the summer holiday I'm going to study in Utrecht. Maybe even live there. I'm really looking forward to it. A clean slate.
But to get back to my point. They're going to call me soon to tell if I'm hired or not. After my job interview my mom and I went to the centre of Amersfoort to take some outfit shots. It was hard to get a decent shot, because I constantly got blown away. My outfit was actually from last Saturday when it was Queensday. I really needed to wear my orange blazer because of that. And ofcourse this amazing skirt too. I'm completely enamored by it.

Here are some songs I've been listening a lot to lately.

I really love it to listen to this song when I'm cycling when the weather is lovely and everything just seems so quiet en peaceful (and a great example of that was yesterday evening when I was on my way to a party. The sun was going down, there were just a few people on the streets and the temperature was so nice).

My mom and me listen to this song when we are driving around in her car (she has a Ford Street Ka, the most awesome car there is).

I listen to this when I'm at my room and need a little laugh. The Midnight Beast is genius.

It's also pretty damn warm here in The Netherlands lately, so after school I immediately changed into my bikini and I'm trying to get a little tan. Just to look more healthy instead of a ghost. I actually believe that my skin has the same effect as those glow in the dark stars I've had on my sealing when I was about 7 years old.

It's still going to take a little while till I'm fully committed again to my blog, because of my exams. And because I'm just busy with my life. A little while ago Dahlia contacted me to ask if I wanted to be a Dahlia Girlfriend. And since you all of you know, I'm a huge Dahlia addict and fan. There's never been a brand that represents my style and taste this well.
So how could I refuse this offer? I couldn't! I was so thrilled when I read it (I can remember that day so well, I jumped around the hallway at school. At first I wanted to thank the ones who said those sweetest things in my previous post. It was heart warming to read. Thank you so much!

But I've felted really good today, after a week of misery. Because of last week I've lost about 2 kg and honestly, I don't mind it at all actually. About 2 weeks ago I've noticed I've gained a little little bit of weight the past couple of years and now I'm determined to eat only healthy food and I'm going to work out, because I still want to lose a little bit more. But I'm going to do it healthy, not like how I did it last week, because I've barely eaten something. I was constantly noxious.
And now don't worry, this isn't becoming a dieting blog.

Now some other news! After Sunday I didn't had someone to go to Lowlands, but now I do! I'm going with the sweetest, greatest, dearest, most amazing Evi! I'm sorry for all those adjectives, but I'm just sooo happy I'm going with her! It's just going to become the most amazing time ever! Plus I've decided to dye my hair back to my original colour at the end of July. I'm not doing it now, because I'm afraid if I will do it now, I'll have to cut it off. I can just see myself walking around at Lowlands with Evi having the most fun in the world, while I'm having long blonde hair, wearing this playsuit by Dahlia and wearing my vans. Aah, I can't wait!

I'm really starting to begin to see the bright sight of being single!

Now I just need to pass my exam that started 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow I will make some shots of the fabrics I got. It's amazing! And maybe I'm going to make some outfit shots of the things I wore last week.

Tonight it's going to be Christmas eve and my mom and I did some very last Christmas shopping. We're going to unpack the presents tonight, watch Christmas films and we're going to eat lasagne.
And right now I'm quickly going to wash my hair (got a new hair mask) and dry it before we're going to eat.

Before I'm going to write about my look, I called this post like this, because we have fishes as christmastree decorations. It's genius.

So this is my look from yesterday. Wore my new Dahlia dress (with a little skirt underneath, because it's so incredibly short!) and I absolutely love it. When I ordered it online I thought it was more pink, though I do still like the colour.
But my sims is working again and I'm playing it too much. Yesterday I did nothing else than playing sims and I getting too attached to them. Especially to the sim named Anna Gilmore. Problem much.

So the 28th of December I'm going to London for a day with my dad. We're going to shop. Seriously, flying to London is shorter for me than going to school. Flying takes about 45 minutes and going to school takes about an hour. But when you do count the time of going to the airport, waiting, driving to London it's a lot longer...
But going to London means Topshop. So I've made a little (or actually big) list for the things I really like and hopefully I'll find a few of those items.

Shoes I wore when I was still in high school

This afternoon I was scrolling through some old photos and 'found' some old shoes I've took a picture of several years ago. At the time I thought that they were amazing and now I'm wondering what I was thinking. So I thought I'd show them here.

I was 12 years old when my Fornarina 'addiction' started (Dahlia has replaced Fornarina). These were my first pair of boots from Fornarina. And I wore these boots in my first year of high school along with a blue pleated, checked skirt, a black with blue glitters cardigan and a pair of thick black tights. I loved that outfit... Gosh, that's already 7 years ago.

I wore these boots in my second year of high school. Along with jeans and a green top with some details.

I was seriously the first girl at school with Uggs. They called me 'house shoe girl'. And a few months later all girls wore them.

When I was in the third year of high school I was dying to get a pair of pumps, so my mom took me to Invito and I got these from her. I still like these shoes.

After a few months I wanted black pumps, something classic. That meant Invito!
Here are they all worn out and dusty.

At the end of my third year I became more 'alternative'. When my final year at high school started people were calling me 'goth' and 'emo'.

So this year I couldn't go, because I wasn't fast enough with buying tickets. Next year will be different, because boyfriend arranged tickets for me when they went on sale this morning! He told me the news around 13:15 and around 13:30 it was sold out. I am so damn happy! And now I've got, at my apprenticeship, the nickname Lowlands.
'Hé Lowlands, come over here, you need to do something!'.
The whole day through I did nothing else than smiling and yelling 'I'm going to Lowlands! *makes a little dance*'.

And another thing. I'm trying to post a new outfit as soon as possible, but like I said a while ago, life has taken over. My apprenticeship, boyfriend, embroider (got a new hobby, haha) and a lot of other things. My new apprenticeship started last Monday and I love it so much. Today I've knitted, listened to music and laughed the whole day through. How do you mean relax? And it starts at 10 O'clock in the morning, so I'm getting up at 8:30. At my last apprenticeship I was already walking outside in Bilthoven and I live in Amersfoort.

This is what I was wearing yesterday. I love the fall colours. It matches perfect with my hair! And my hair got long enough for wearing a braid. Got to love it. I wear it non stop now.
Actually, yesterday I wore a lot of my favourite things. My favourite blazer, with my favourite cape with my favourite jeans with my favourite pair of (cute) socks and favourite bag (not shown). With, pom pom pom pom, new Topshop shoes!

So today I've had absolutely nothing to do (don't you just love that sometimes?) and because of that I decided to make a lot of outfit shots. And honestly, I think I owe you all this after almost 2 months of not posting an outfit.

I've worn these outfit the past few months. I think the oldest one is from August. It's kind of strange that I still know when I wore what and when... My mind is odd in remembering things. I can remember the most useless things and sometimes I forget very important things. Oh well, I've got a LOT to post, so I'm going to start now with that.

So finally something new. My internship started again 2 weeks ago and now I'm working full time. And every time when I wanted to make some photo's, it rained. Even today. I wanted to make photo's today and it freaking rained again. Except for yesterday, but yesterday I didn't had the time.

I can't help myself! On a cloudy dark day, colourful bubbles easily brightens it up! It makes you happy and laugh when a bubble pops in front of your face. So when I started blowing bubbles in my room, boyfriend started making photo's of it. The first photo he made was immediately the right one! A bubble pops and the other ones are colourful.

So these photo's are from yesterday evening. We wanted to try something new with the photo's so that's why they're taken in the dark (and some with flash). And because it rained all day long and at night it wasn't.

I got my Vans yesterday, they were a gift from my mom. Namely because I was searching for them for a little while. I'm so happy with them! I couldn't believe how comfortable they were. More comfortable than my All Stars. By the way, this is also the first time I wear sneakers on my blog! I just got myself a new premier.

So I've just got back from London and I brought an amazing Chloé bag back with me. Plus something else very exciting. I went out for lunch Friday in a sushi restaurant with my dad and some friends and there she was! I was absolutely in shock when I saw her. She's my favourite artist for a long while now and I think she's great. So when I saw her I immediately wanted to ask for an autograph. Kinda lame perhaps, but still. After 45 minutes I finally had the guts to do it (plus she was finished eating, got to stay polite!) and I actually did it! She was so sweet and kind to me. I'll show a photo of it soon, because now I'm going to shower and to bed.

So I'm going to London tomorrow morning and I'm very exited! We arrive around 10 O'clock at Heathrow, so we'll still have the whole day to do things. Me saying that I have nothing to wear is actually pretty odd. I have so many clothes, though everything I put on seems to be not right. I've scrolled through all of my old outfits and nothing seems to be appealing to me. I love almost all of my clothes, but it just doesn't feels like 'me'. Not my cute dresses, not my pants from Zara, not even my favourite skirt. And shopping is out of the question, because I'm going to London in less than 2 weeks.
I'm having this problem for about 2 weeks now I guess. All I want to do is sit in my pj's, but that isn't something you'll wear when you're going somewhere.
Seriously, not one single outfit I come up with feels right and it's affecting my mood a lot the past days. So if someone has a solution or tips for it, I would be happy to hear it!

P.s.
I must confess that I've bought one thing from Topshop. These lace pants. So nice that they were on sale.

Dahlia, oh Dahlia...

So a lot of you know I'm a huge fan of Dahlia. It's kind of my favourite brand for over a year now. The first time when I went to the Dahlia store in London was last year August. I bought way too much then. The second time I went to the Dahlia store was last April, when I was in London with school. And really, it's the best store to shop in. The atmosphere there is fantastic. The store has character.
This August I'm going to London again and I know where I'm going to. I'm planning to do a lot of shopping, because Dahlia never disappoints me with their designs. Dahlia represents my style and things I like. That girly style that's still feminine. Plus a lot of floral prints. After 3 year I'm still not bored of floral prints!

I've also got a little confession, I've got in total 26 dresses and playsuits from Dahlia. Yes, I'm aware of the fact that it's actually too much. But honestly, if I can afford it, why not?

And not to forget, Dahlia changed the website a few weeks ago and it looks amazingly good. I also really like the fact that models are showing the garments now. With styling tips!

Another break

Since I have vacation I'm enjoying every second of it. Even when I'm bored. I'm busy with doing nothing, watching Who's the boss (an old show I've recently discovered), sewing, designing dresses, skirts and shorts and enjoying time with my boyfriend (who's on holiday in England right now). But I noticed that now I have so many free time I don't want to spend it on making self timer photo's. So I'm having a little break until boyfriend gets back and is going play the roll of my favourite personal photographer. He's back Friday, so it won't be a long break.

So now you know I haven't suddenly disappeared from the earth! I'm not kidnapped by aliens. I'm just being lazy, hehe.

I don't have a lot to tell. I've made the Zara pants that I got smaller at the waist, because it was about 8 cm too big (that's what you get when you're sale shopping and you know how to adjust things with the sewingmachine). And I've bought 2 fabrics, some fabric paint and elastic for making 2 skirts with a Miu Miu print. So I've got something to do the next couple of days. So simple in compare to making blazers!
In the next few weeks I'm also planning to make about 5 dresses with the floral fabrics and lace I got during my internship.

Here's a new outfit. Again with the boaterhat. Big addiction, I'm telling you! And seriously, my hair is getting long! Especially in compare to last year around this time. I like it.

Little girl on the prairie

Today was incredibly hot. It was all about lying in the garden and going several times in the little bath we have standing in the garden. I also feel like my face got sunburned. Though my mom says that isn't the case. I think I'm going to put on a facial mask tonight and look like a lame lake monster.

This was my outfit from today. Not anything too special actually. I felt like wearing my boyfriend jeans again. Went to my internship today, to fill in a form for school that I have to turn in tomorrow. Last couple of hours of school! After that I will have my official summer vacation. Hallelujah!

Hmm, I'm thinking of something... My school is very close to a Zara store and there's still some sale I believe. I think I'm going to do something bad tomorrow, hehe. Maybe I'll find something!

Yesterday was my last day at school to turn in my 2 latest assignments. I worked so hard to finnish them! Last saturday I worked from 12 PM till 1 AM on it and sunday from 10 AM till 2:30 AM. I was so tired! And the weather was amazing, so I was kind of bummed out with that. Everyone was having fun here in the neighbourhood, while I was working hard. Very frustrating at the moment, but now I'm very glad I did it. I got amazing grades on them. It was all worth it.

Today was a great first vacationday. Boyfriend was here yesterday evening and stayed the night. And he's still here. He made outfit shots today. I think these photo's are some of the best photo's he ever took for and from me.

But I'm going to finnish this post now, I'm very tired and my room looks like it's exploded.

Went to bed way too late last night and woke up way too early this morning. So I'm already completely dressed up. I wanted to do this post sooner, but school is really time consuming. When I thought I was done with my blazer (post below), I seemed not to be. That caused more stress than I already was having. Good thing that's really finished now. The only remaining thing are 2 assignments. Going to that today, tomorrow and Monday! I want vacation *snif snif*.

Please don't mind the very frizzy hair! Before boyfriend took these photo's, I've took a shower. I dried (correct word?) my hair and made it curly, but when I went outside it was apparently still very moist. And moist hair and going outside can cause 1 very awful thing. Frizzy hair! So when I found out my hair looked like a cat had a fight with it, I didn't wanted to take any more pictures. So I'll owe you this outfit, since it's one of my favourites!

Just one more big busy day and most of the stress will be gone. Just finished the blazer for school that made me cry so so bad the past days. So glad that pressure is gone! I will be finishing some other little things for my technique class and after that I will have 5 days to finish 2 other assignments. Happy me!

Since I got a lot of questions if I could show some things that I've made for school, I've decided to show this blazer. But just so you know, it isn't my design or in my size. It's really too big for me. And I'm so proud of the collar! I did a great job on that if I say so myself!

And because my dad wanted to cheer me up he said this to me: 'I've seen in a film that when a woman is sad, food doesn't work, because that makes you fat. Shopping for clothes doesn't work, because you think nothing looks good on you, but shoes! Shoes on the contrary always look good on you, even when you're feeling down. So let's go shoeshopping!'.

Even though this is the third evening on a row that I'm working on school. Just needed to make photo's. Got several compliments on this outfit today odd enough. I thought that it was too dark. Even some guy whistled at me!
