Time to bring out the orange

It was the last Queensday yesterday. From now on it will be called 'Kingsday' or something like that, because we got a king! We've had a queen for many many years, so the fact we have a king now feels sort of strange.
Anyhow, I decided to dress up in orange for the special occasion. For such a long time I refused to, but about 2 years I decided to go with the flow and wear our country colour. Solidarity brother! Plus, who could refuse wearing a dress like this? It's so feminine, I almost feel awkward in it. Like I'm too young to wear it. I wore this outfit for a couple of hours, but changed after a while, cause it was way too cold even though I wore a jacket. Today's weather is better for it.

    You shouldn't feel awkward in your beautiful dress! You are jaw-droppingly pretty in it.!

    But I understand what you mean - sometimes I do my hair and make up all fancy then adorn myself in a long dress. It feels nice but sometimes awkward too! I think its because people don't get dressed up like they used to, we end up feeling like a sore thumb.
